This weekend I had the privilege of putting together a wedding at The Barn at Flanagan Farm (http://www.barnatflanaganfarm.com ) in Buxton Maine. It was amazing. Here is a little tour of the barn and farm house. This place is amazing!!! I am so impressed with every detail of this home and event space. I stopped counting the number of weddings I have done at 2 thousand, that was 15 years ago. That having been said, I have worked at numerous venues and this one was one of the most lovely I have seen.
Naturally, when your location is this beautiful you want to add simple decorations to finish it, without detracting from its rustic appeal. We purchased flowers from Snell Family Farm (http://www.snellfamilyfarm.com) also located in Buxton, Maine. They flowers were unbelievably beautiful and reasonably priced. The photos below are of the flowers still in the buckets from the farm.
Below are some photos of the finished arrangements. I did them in Mason jars…so cute.
Here is the wedding bouquet being made (from the same farm fresh flowers) by Carol Hiltebeitel (firstname.lastname@example.org). She is amazing.
Isn’t the brides bouquet lovely?
We are so lucky to live in a state full of such creative and interesting people and places. Please feel free to send me your favorite wedding vendors and venues. I am always interested in what is going on in our fine state!
